Don't cry Emma, you are wearing an amazeballs hat! |
Here's my version. Can you believe I hadn't made a hat for myself? This hat has EVERYTHING a girl needs. BOBBLES. CABLES. A BIT OF LACEWORK. EVERYTHING.
Once again, photography stylings of the wonderful Clara.
Pattern: Gwen Stacy. I've noted on my project page the mods I've made - essentially lengthening it for maximum slouchiness. Srsly, I thought it was too slouchy for a while, but it seems to have relaxed a bit and is just slouchie enough. I used this blocking method and am now addicted to blocking hats!
Yarn: Bendigo Woollen Mills Classic 8ply
Ravelled here.

There is only one word for it ....fabulous! I can totally understand why you were so fascinated with it. Love it !
ReplyDeleteIt looks so great Tanya! ^_^ I really like the colour wool you chose too!
ReplyDeleteless 'chose' and more 'what to i have in my stash'! lol. turned out great though and its very wearable!
DeleteWow it looks great on you. Just the right amount of "slouch" :)
ReplyDeletethanks :D i really love it!
DeleteBeautifully done! Another pattern to stash!
ReplyDeletealong with the 1000 others right? :D

I love that the movie was forgettable to you, but not the hat! You are such a knitter at heart. I'm personally hopeful for the new superman movie, the directors involved make it promising. It will either be a perfect mix or a huge disaster. You always look so satisfied when showing off your knits, you definitely have a reason to be, yet another perfect project to add to your collection!
ReplyDeletegod DC really need to get their act together with movies. I think the new Superman looks a bit boring. Superman is not very charismatic I think. I think I've been spoilt watching gorgeous tony stark ham it up!!
DeleteThanks so much for your kind words, I think my look of satisfaction is more of a 'what face to i make', i am not a natural model!
What a great hat! Nice work. I think the slouchiness is perfect :)
Deleteooooooh, now I must knit one! Yours is super sassy.
ReplyDeleteGood to know you could find something redeeming in a movie that burned up a couple hours of your life. That hat is amazing! Great job, it suits you well.
