I do love my close ups. |
No heads on the internet please! |
Yarn: Handmaiden Fine Yarn Silken, colourway, Rose garden.
See what I did there? (via) |
After blocking, it measures 183cm x 87cm.
Ravelled here.
Not quite sure what I think of it. It's an odd colour for me, not something I usually wear. It is very pretty though, and so so soft. I think the pattern would work much better with a lighter weight yarn.

It looks fab, but if you are really not sure about the colour you can always overdye silk
ReplyDeleteI think you might have just tipped me over the edge to try an Elise, it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt looks stunning, love the colours and I bet it is so soft :)
ReplyDeleteI love your shawl! I just started my Elise this week and I'm enyoing it. Your close ups are excellent too.

ReplyDeleteWow. lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour shawl is lovely! And looks gorgeous on!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I'm sure you can find a little shawlette/scarf pattern do do with the remainder!
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely, and I think because you used the yarn you did you can see the pattern more than if it had been a lighter weight yarn. Nice job :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely and the slightly heavier weight will make it nicer to wear in the slightly cooler weather.
ReplyDeleteOooers, what a lovely colorway!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can make a thin scarf from the rest of the silk?
Very beautiful and the colorway is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THE SUN! It's awesome to live in the Southern Hempishere again!

ReplyDeleteIt's lovely! I think the color is beautiful. Maybe you could make a lace cowl with the remainder of the yarn?
